Explanation of our contract holder fees.

We would like to provide clarity of the fees that may become payable during a contract you are looking to enter into. We believe you should understand these before you make any decision about a property or before you decide to view a property.

Fee Type Explanation and Fee (All costs are calculated inclusive of VAT)
Default fee for late payment of rent. This is chargeable from when you become 14 days in arrears. This is calculated from the outstanding late payment of rent owed, on which interest is charged at 3% APR above Bank of England base rate for each day that the payment is outstanding.
Loss of key or other security device. Landlords and letting agents can charge a tenant a fee to cover the cost of replacing the lost key or security device (e.g fob, electronic device for garage doors, security gates)
Payment on termination of a contract In situations where a tenant (contract-holder) wants to leave a fixed-term contract early, the landlord or agent is fully within their rights to expect to be paid for the entirety of the contract.
